A man crouches low, arms spread like spider's legs, in front of a booth featuring UV light. Two other men are pointing angle poise lamps towards him.

FLIES

Written by Oliver Lansley

Some people are frightened of small spaces… Some people are frightened of sharks… Dennis is terrified of flies.

In a kill-or-be-killed fight for sanity, one man is determined to conquer his fear of flies, but as darkness falls, what is that ominous hum behind the door? Metamorphosis meets The Birds in an edgy black comedy from the creative team that brought you Ernest and the Pale Moon.

FLIES was originally created in 2011 with support from Arts Council England. The show premiered at the Tobacco Factory in Bristol and toured secondary schools in the city. In 2019, we partnered with Les Enfants Terribles to re-boot the show and take it to Pleasance Courtyard at the Edinburgh Fringe.

“An intriguing and satisfyingly perverse evening of theatre” ★★★★ The Reviews Hub
